Cherokee Change and Agency 1791-1838

How did the rise of Cherokee factories and agencies facilitate change in the Cherokee Nation from 1791 to 1838?  From 1791 to 1838, the Cherokee underwent drastic social, economic, political, and cultural change much due to their agreement to allow implementation of a “Civilization Program” and US control of trade in the Treaty of Holston in 1791. This created factories for trade and agencies that settled disputes, gave distributions, and negotiated treaties. The Cherokee went through a period of rapid acculturation due to this program and grew in industry, statehood, and scholarship prior to removal in 1838.
